Please make sure your establishment meets the following guidelines before requesting to be on this web site. Thank You. Bed & Breakfasts/Guest Houses offering one (1) or both of the following:* Guest rooms and/or suites furnished with romantic amenities and decor including at least one guest room or suite with a private in-room double Jacuzzi or whirlpool tub and/or lodging obviously catering to couples looking for a romantic getaway as demonstrated by claims in advertising, brochures and/or web site and offering romantic "special touches" (i.e. candlelit meals, gardens with courtyard or gazebo, etc.). Professional Bed & Breakfasts which cater primarily to couples. [The term "professional" as used herein, would be defined as the innkeepers' primary and full-time business, usually with hired staffers and containing 4 or more rooms for guest lodging.] Motels/Hotels/Inns/Resorts/Lodges offering some rooms or suites with gas log or wood burning fireplace AND double whirlpool or double Jacuzzi tub in the bedroom area - or - Motels/Hotels/Inns/Resorts/Lodges which offer three (3) or more of the following:* Some double Jacuzzi and/or two-person whirlpool rooms or suites. Some rooms with in-bedroom gas log or wood burning fireplace. Restored historic lodging (pre 1925) with lobby furnished in a period style with antiques or antique reproductions. Lodging recently constructed in a historic style (i.e. Colonial or Victorian) and furnished with antiques or antique reproductions. Some rooms furnished with poster or canopy beds and antiques or antique reproductions. Lodging with a large porch or veranda furnished with rocking chairs. Lodging situated in a designated Historic District. Romance or romantic getaway packages. Getaway, adult special activity or tour packages. Lodging with ALL of the following on-site amenities; restaurant, lounge, swimming pool, whirlpool, exercise area, room service and concierge service. Lodging with on-site resort and sports activities or waterfront lodging with on-site sports and water activities. Lodging with some rooms or suites obviously catering to couples looking for a romantic getaway as demonstrated by claims in advertising, brochures and/or web site. Cabins/Cottages offering the following:* Lodging obviously catering to couples looking for a romantic getaway as demonstrated by claims in advertising, brochures and/or web site and offering romantic "special touches" (i.e. generally small and cozy with one bedroom and including amenities such as in-bedroom double Jacuzzi or double whirlpool tub and/or romantic getaway packages, etc. and NOT family vacation rentals). * The Mid-Atlantic Romantic Getaways, Inc. reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse any place of lodging deemed unsuitable. Accommodations not meeting the above guidelines may occasionally be used in some destinations at the discretion of Mid-Atlantic Romantic Getaways, Inc. in order to obtain a mix of lodging types in that area.
